Our Philosophy

When I was younger, oiling your hair was called gawar — something “uncool,” something to be hidden. But for me, it was never that. It was intimacy. It was sitting with my mother, my nani, my sister — a ritual of care, love, and connection.

Years later, the same practice came back to me, rebranded as a “clean girl aesthetic.” But to me, oiling isn’t a trend. It’s my roots. It’s culture. It’s heritage.

Titru is born out of that belief — that what we once dismissed holds the deepest beauty. It’s not about fashion. It’s about going back to where it all begins: the scalp, the roots, and the people who make us who we are.
